We build the DNA. You unlock the biology.
We are the Synthetic DNA Accelerator Lab — a core facility providing research groups the infrastructure and expertise to construct large, complex DNA for synthetic genomics and beyond.
Mission
Synthetic genomics needs DNA at a scale and complexity that off-the-shelf synthesis can’t reach. We close that gap by combining computational design, in vitro and in vivo cloning and lab automation to turn ambitious designs into verified, ready-to-use constructs.

The SynDNA Lab meets user demands where current commercial services are lacking.

What we do
Large & complex DNA assembly
Construction of large, multi-part DNA constructs that are difficult or impossible to source commercially — from kilobase pathways and genetic circuits to whole genomic loci.
Sequence diversification
Generation of variant libraries and diversified constructs for screening, directed evolution, and design-build-test cycles.
Method & technology development
Custom in vitro and in vivo cloning workflows, co-developed with you and supported by lab (semi-)automation if required by your project.
Community & outreach
Training, knowledge sharing, and public engagement to grow synthetic genomics capacity across the center and beyond.
How to make an order
Large-scale DNA writing is still a young field, and a lot of it doesn’t have standard solutions yet. That’s why we work as a researching core facility: most projects start with a conversation about what’s needed, and from there we develop a solution tailored to your project.
